At the moment the hype around Banksy seems to be growing still thanks to his Oscar nomination, Simpsons Intro etc. I was living in London at the time when people suddenly paid crazy money for Banksy pieces or even stole them from the streets. All the papers were full of it. With the hype surrounding him, the society showed its two faces. On one hand they call us vandals and prosecute people using spray paint like criminals, on the other hand it’s hip to have graffiti in your ad campaigns or it’s called art as soon as someone pays a fortune for it. Some time ago I dedicated a Swarovski crystal spray can to that craziness and called it “Million Dollar Vandal”. Here are pictures of that spray can.
