Purku Taide exhibition Helsinki, Finland

While I was in Finland to fix the mural at Sinkka museum, I was happy to also meet artist and curator Jouni Väänänen again. He has set up a great group show in Helsinki, which opens on May 16th and is well worth a visit, due to the very versatile rooms on display. Each artist has their own room and topic and you pass through a different world by walking down the hallway.

In total, 75 artists have been involved, each artist was instructed to use as much recycling material as possible and to buy as little new material as possible. Local businesses have donated materials of all sorts. I got an exclusive tour before the opening, a selection of photos below.

I particularily liked the room made of glass charts, because I had the same idea before and loved how it was executed.
